Professor Gail S. Goodman, Distinguished Professor of psychology and Director of Center for Public Policy Research is at University of California Davis. She is credited for starting modern science's study on children's memory of eyewitnesses and using child victims in the court system. Professor Goodman is an prolific writer she has won many prizes and grants. She has been consulted by numerous authorities and organizations across the globe regarding policies as well as research on child victims within the legal system. She works as a consultant to the Special Assault Forensic Evaluation Center, formerly The Multidisciplinary Interview Center of Sacramento County Child Protective Services. She holds memberships in many professional organizations like the Association for Psychological Science and American Psychological Association. Professor Goodman is also a member of Psychonomics Society, the Psychonomics Society Society for Research in Child Development American Professional Society on the Abuse of Children (Founding member) International Society for the Prevention of Child Abuse and Neglect and International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies. She served as president of the America Psychological Association's Developmental Division and Division American Psychology Law Society and Division Society for Family and Child Policy and Practice.
